Imagination

The small girl walked along the river’s edge.

All the pebbles that lined the sand

Glistened in the sun.

The pretty flowers

Looked very happy to her,

And she lost a sandal in the mud.

But her bare feet she pulled up,

And washed them off in the water.

The small girl walked along the river’s edge.

Only she could be seen,

No one else was around yet

And the weeds were choking

But still she ran.

The small girl walked along the river’s edge.

Although some say it was around her pool,

Or around her tub.

It doesn’t matter, either way.

The small girl walked along the river’s edge.

And the pretty flowers

Looked very happy to her.
